Your Quest For Wealth
This is how you are: you seek wealth but you do not know why. You think you know why, but right now it is unlikely that you do. This is not criticism it is an awakening.
The 'why' precedes the wealth. Without a valid 'why' you canot become and wealthy and contented person.
Some want money for security and survival. Some want it for comfort. Some want it for lifestyle and status. These are very little 'whys' and are not worthy of your greatness. They are survival whys. They are ego whys. They are comfort whys. You are greater than this. You are more magnificent than these poor aspirations but you do not yet realise it. It may be that you stay asleep never realising it. We shall see.
Some want money for space just to be free and to explore their inner world. This is the beginning but not the end of wisdom.
Some want money to make the world a better place and aid their fellow travellers. This is wisdom.
You may question the assertion that survival is a trivial reason for wanting money. It was not always so in our past, and is not so in many poorer countries. But here, in the first world, it is trivially easy to get your basic survival needs met. What consumes the bulk of your precious time is striving for luxerie, comfort, status and prestige.

UBS trader Kweku Adoboli arrested over 'rogue deals'

Police in London have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with allegations of unauthorised trading which has cost Swiss banking group UBS an estimated $2bn (£1.3bn). It then became embroiled in a serious tax evasion dispute with US authorities and was forced to hand over 300 client names and pay a $780m fine. There was then a second case in which it agreed to hand over data on 4,450 American clients.
UBS declined to say in which department, or country, the rogue trader operated. However, there is already speculation that the losses may have occurred in foreign exchange trades.
Police in London have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with allegations of unauthorised trading which has cost Swiss banking group UBS an estimated $2bn (£1.3bn).UBS shares fell 8% after it announced it was investigating rogue trades.
The Swiss bank said no customer accounts were affected.
A spokesman for City of London Police, which is responsible for the city's financial district, said: "We can confirm we arrested a 31-year-old man at 3:30am on suspicion of fraud by abuse of position."
In a letter to its 65,000 staff, UBS warned that the rogue trades could hit profits.
"The matter is still being investigated, but UBS's current estimate of the loss on the trades is in the range of $2bn," the bank said.
"It is possible that this could lead UBS to report a loss for the third quarter of 2011. No client positions were affected.
"While the news is distressing, it will not change the fundamental strength of our firm.
"We urge you to stay focused on your clients, who are counting on you to guide them through these uncertain times," the bank said.
ETF's are a type of tradeable share that track movements in other indexes or commodities, and can be affected by short-term volatility in prices.
ZKB trading analyst Claude Zehnder said the news would damage confidence in UBS. "They obviously have a problem with risk management.
"With this, they are losing a lot of credit that they had regained with effort."
UBS was rescued by the Swiss state in 2008, following huge losses on toxic assets held by its investment bank.
UBS declined to say in which department, or country, the rogue trader operated. However, there is already speculation that the losses may have occurred in foreign exchange trades.

UK Banks Face Major Reorganisation
UK banks should ring-fence their retail banking divisions to protect them from riskier investment banking arms, a government-backed commission has said.
The Independent Commission on Banking, led by Sir John Vickers, said it would "make it easier and less costly to resolve banks that get into trouble".
The ICB called for the changes to be implemented by the start of 2019.
Chancellor George Osborne welcomed the "good" report and said he planned to stick to the timetable it recommended.
"This commission has tackled that big question that we face in Britain, which is how can we be a home to successful banks that compete around the world, but lend to British families and British businesses, but at the same time protecting us as taxpayers from the cost of them going wrong, and not ending up with a multi-billion pound bill when the bank collapses," he said.
